People who are enthusiastic about Gua Sha all agree that the practise has two core benefits: physical and mental.
Physically, Gua Sha brightens your complexion, contours and sculps the face while softening wrinkles and fine lines. Gua Sha can also help to relieve headaches and sinus pressure. Using Gua Sha can be beneficial in reducing inflammation and puffiness and can help with the microcirculation of lymphatic drainage in the face. This is especially true for the under-eye area in the morning. Mentally, using Gua Sha induces a state of grounding, feelings of connection with the spirit and of course, self-love towards the body. Gua Sha can be used as part of your skincare regime.
HOW TO USE: Holding the tool at a 30-to-45-degree angle, very gently glide the tool across your skin. As a rule, all movements should be upwards following lymphatic flow. Repeat each movement three to five times before moving onto the next area of your skin.
